About The Program

Black Boy Heal program, in partnership with Man 2 Man counseling, offers a range of services, including:

• Free mental health services from licensed therapists (Virtual and In-person)

• Academic success coaching: Black males will be matched with a coach to receive individual assistance with time management skills, goal-setting and study strategies.

• Wellness plans: a journal that teaches Black males various mental health strategies including: coping, journaling, meditation, naming that emotion, etc.

• Offers workshops and seminars on a variety of mental health-related topics.

Our mission is to help schools and communities empower young Black males by disrupting stigmas surrounding mental health through education, practice and increasing access to affordable mental health services.

Our Vision

Through Black Boy Heal’s support and resources, young Black males are not only empowered to take control of their mental health and wellbeing, but they can do so in a supportive community.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

CONRAD WEBSTER

Dr. Conrad Webster is a critical race theorist, writer, organizer, facilitator, professor, and an education consultant from Houston, TX. Founder of Get Me to The Prom Foundation, Founder of AllAccessRecruitment.com, Co-Founder of African American Leadership Conference and Co-Founder of TrillUp LLC. Conrad completed his Doctorate from the University of Washington for Educational Leadership. His dissertation titled, "Where Did My Black Folk Go? The Exclusion of African American Males Out Of K-12 Classrooms" has been getting great reviews on its sophisticated way to talk about racism in education. Conrad serves as an Adjunct Professor at Pierce College, Oregon Institute of Technology, University of Washington Tacoma, and Racial Equity Advancement Advisor for Seattle Public Schools. Conrad co-produced workshops titled Hostility, Trauma, and Critical Race Theory: Nourishing Resistant Voices in Colonial Spaces and Team Killmonger vs. Team T’Challa: Redefining What it Means to Be Black in the United States. Committed to academic achievement and Black wellness, Conrad uses storytelling as a form of liberation through education, and his work inspires audiences to use their lens to visualize their power to organize change.

MEET OUR CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Brandon King is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas, Washington, and New Jersey. Brandon owns a private practice in the Houston area; serves as a Cognitive Behavior and Person-Centered Therapy. He specializes in Men’s issues as well as multi-cultural issues. He believes in a very non-traditional style of therapy. He likes his sessions to be conversational and low stress, this will help alleviate any discomfort you may feel when seeking help from a licensed professional. Brandon uses a mixture of Cognitive Behavior and Person-Centered Therapy to work with each client to alter their thinking in order to change their behaviors and allow them to reach the goals they seek. Brandon is a former educator and High School Counselor. Brandon's unique life experiences, as well as his educational and professional background, have given him a wealth of knowledge to contribute to Black Boy Heal and to reach clients from various backgrounds where they currently are on this journey we call Life.

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS

With a heart for service and passion to uplift the Black community, Mary Ingram comes in as Black Boy Heal Senior Vice President of Communications. A proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She has held the positions of President, 2nd Vice President, Web-Mistress, and Secretary. Currently, in the position of First Vice-President of her local chapter, she is responsible for the retention of current members and the training of new members. She holds a position on the State Executive Board as well as many regional committees. In 2009, Ms. Ingram earned a degree in Sociology from the University of WA. Mary is currently a Federal Employee with an extensive background in dealing with the aged, physically, and mentally disabled populations through assisting with social services, resources, and benefits. Previously, Ms.Ingram has held positions in communications with Bogle and Gates law firm and Qwest Communications. Making sure to keep her skills polished, Mary Ingram has participated in Leadership Development training programs both in her Federal career and with her sorority. Mary’s belief system is simple, “The Success of others I’ve helped is also my success”. To continue on that same path, she has recently launched her own company, MARYAD, LLC which taps into her creative side. She is driven to serve and dedicated to the movement to help people get the healing they may not even know they need.

MEET OUR DIGITAL MEDIA DIRECTOR

I am the, well, everything for the CRWND. brand. I’m a graphic designer,
illustrator, website design/developer, app creator, marketing director,
branding consultant, photographer and videographer. CRWND is a
media and broadcasting production company that is quickly taking
the ranks of being number one in the country.This is where aspiration
meets innovation, candor fuels collaboration. Impossible surrenders to
accomplished. We champion the bold to achieve the extraordinary.
We work alongside Black Boy Heal as one team with a shared
